Update: Reading Goals in 2020
In my Reading goals in 2020 post, I outlined, at the time, what I hoped to read in 2020, based on the books I had at that time.
As an update, I am at 3 books read in 2020, and two out of three are not even on that list. Specifically “Edie: Girl On Fire” which is a book I’ve had for years but had not recently touched, as well as “Antisocial Media: How Facebook Disconnects Us and Undermines Democracy”, which was purchased since then.
The only one I’ve read from the list, that I highlighted as intent to read has been Bedknob and Broomstick.
At the present moment, I am still very slowly chipping away through IT. I also am most of the way through “Self Help” by Al Snow and “Feed” by Mira Grant. These two titles are ones listed on my previous post, but not bolded, meaning that since then, I had warmed up to the idea of tackling them.
To combat this going against the intended grain, and thanks to watching a documentary about the making of the Blackadder series tonight, I pulled up the biography about Tony Robinson that I purchased, and which I also highlighted as an intended read. Given current pace and remaining pages, I’ll likely finish “Self Help” first and hopefully follow up with Tony’s book next.
Regardless, to a certain degree I am behind as I ended up setting a goal to read 25 books instead of 20, so I have some work ahead of me.
